The SRZP proposed to increase the single child allowance

The amount of the single child benefit must be changed based on the minimum subsistence level. This was announced on October 13 by Sergei Mironov, chairman of the Fair Russia — For Truth party.

"Now it's (a single allowance. — Ed.) may be from 50 to 100% of the subsistence level. We believe that the basic allowance should still be at least one subsistence minimum, 150% for children under three years old, and 200% of the subsistence minimum for single parents," the deputy said in an interview with TASS.

He noted that the cost of living should be linked to the real consumer basket, namely 43-45 thousand rubles.

The press service of the Ministry of Labor reported on September 29 that the amount of maternity capital in Russia in 2026 will be indexed by 6.8%, the payment for the second child will amount to 974.1 thousand rubles if the family did not receive it for the firstborn. It was clarified that it is planned to allocate about 1.76 trillion rubles for a single allowance for families with children.
