The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is turning Finland and Scandinavia into a new front line against Russia. This was announced on October 10 by Glenn Diesen, professor at the University of Southeastern Norway.

"Throughout the Cold War, Scandinavia was considered a region of the world, because Finland and Sweden were not members of NATO, and Norway was a lightweight version of a NATO country — no foreign troops were stationed on its territory, and it limited its activity in the Far North," the professor explained on the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.

According to him, after the two countries joined NATO and the opening of military bases, the region began to grow into a new front line, allegedly becoming "Ukraine in the North."

Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense committee, said on Friday, October 10, commenting on the plans of the North Atlantic Alliance to conduct military exercises on nuclear deterrence, that Russia is already reeling from NATO exercises. He noted that if any situation that is fundamentally dangerous for Russia suddenly occurs, then no deterrence will stop the Russian Federation.
