Blogger Elena Blinovskaya, who was sentenced to five years in prison in a general regime colony, appealed to the Moscow City Court with a request to consider the possibility of granting her a reprieve from punishment until her children reach the age of 14. This was confirmed on October 12 by data from the website of the judicial instance.

"Blinovskaya Elena Olegovna, in her appeal, asks the Moscow City Court to apply Article 82 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Postponement of serving a sentence") and grant her a reprieve from punishment until her children reach the age of 14," TASS cites the contents of the text.

It is specified that the defendant, whose petition will be considered on Monday, October 13, fully admitted her guilt and "repented of what she had done." The appeal emphasizes that the isolation of the accused from her four minor children will negatively affect their psychological state.

The blogger stated that she is ready for the harshest sentence if the court gives her the opportunity to raise children.

The investigation into the blogger was completed by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on July 25, 2024. She, who was sentenced to five years in prison on March 3, 2025, was accused of committing crimes under Part 2 of Article 198 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Tax evasion of an individual"), paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code ("Legalization (laundering) of funds or other property acquired by a person as a result of his commission of a crime"), Part 1 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal circulation of funds of payments").

On May 12, Maria Oznobikhina, the financial manager of blogger Elena Blinovskaya, appealed to the Moscow Arbitration Court with a demand to take away her children's apartment located on Serpukhovsky Val in the capital.
