The Russian Foreign Ministry warned about the new rules of entry to Spain
From October 12, Russians arriving in Spain will have to be fingerprinted and photographed at the border as part of a new biometric system. This was announced on October 12 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Russian Federation.
"Starting today, the new biometric system for crossing the EU's external borders (Entry/Exit System) comes into force," the Telegram channel said.
According to the new rules, when entering and leaving the country, citizens of the Russian Federation and other countries are required to take fingerprints and photographs at border control. The system will be implemented gradually, starting from Madrid airport, and then spread to other border control points in Spain.
On September 15, the BLS Spain Visa Application Center announced that the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow had resumed accepting documents for visas. It is clarified that currently documents can only be submitted in person or by the next of kin with the original proof of kinship.
