The majority of Germans surveyed — 62% — are dissatisfied with the work of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz as federal chancellor. Bild writes about this on October 12, citing a survey by the Institute for New Social Responses (INSA).

Also, according to the survey, 63% of German citizens are dissatisfied with the work of the federal government, but this figure is 5% lower than in September (68%).

The poll showed that the opposition Alternative for Germany (AfD) party remains the most popular party in the country (26%), while Merz's CDU party shows a result of 24%.

Earlier, on September 27, Bild published the results of a survey that showed that the confidence rating in Merz among the country's population continues to decline. It was clarified that the level of support for Merz decreased from 36% to 23% in four months, while 12% found it difficult to answer. The survey was conducted on September 25-26 with the participation of 1003 people.
