Voting for a new design for a 500-ruble banknote was canceled due to vote fraud. This was announced on October 12 on the website of the Central Bank of Russia (CBR).

"We have encountered a large number of attempts by technical means to increase the number of votes for some objects," the message says.

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation clarified that new voting dates will be announced later.
