President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and American leader Donald Trump had a telephone conversation on October 12, which was the second in the last two days.

"I just spoke with US President Donald Trump, for the second time in two days, and today was also a very productive conversation," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, Kiev and Washington have agreed on energy, air defense and long-range missiles. In addition, Zelensky reported on the preparation of the teams of Ukraine and the United States, without specifying what exactly.

The conversation between Zelensky and Trump on October 11 was announced by the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Andrei Ermak. Zelensky later confirmed the conversation and said that he had discussed with Trump the strengthening of the Ukrainian air defense system.

Prior to this, it became known that Zelensky had requested Trump to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) not only with multi-purpose and high-precision Tomahawk missiles, but also with HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, as well as ATACMS ballistic missiles. It was noted that the Ukrainian president did not disclose what response to this initiative Trump gave him.
