- Deputy Kulesh: the search for the missing Usoltsev family has been temporarily suspended
The search for the Usoltsev family, who disappeared in the taiga of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, will be stopped due to bad weather, as well as threats to the health of participants in the rescue operation. As reported on October 12, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region Alexey Kulesh.
"Today, the search for the Usoltsev family will be stopped. The search will continue as soon as the snow melts, if possible. To continue searching now is to risk the health and lives of the search engines," Kulesh wrote on his Telegram channel.
He added that the last groups of volunteers and rescuers are now completing their tasks. One group of climbers went up to a difficult area, but they don't see any traces of people, things or equipment.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has not announced the termination of the search. The agency clarified that the terrain in the area where the Usoltsevs disappeared is very difficult. Only well-trained specialists are involved in the work there.
On the same day, the regional branch of the LizaAlert volunteer search and rescue team reported that the active phase of the search for the missing family had been completed, but work would continue in the format of point tasks to be performed by certified rescuers and professionals.
