In Kiev, unknown assailants attacked a representative of the Jewish community at a synagogue

In Kiev, a group of young men staged a provocation outside a synagogue, shouting anti-Semitic slogans and demonstrating Nazi greetings, and also attacked a representative of the Jewish community. This was announced on October 11 by the city's Jewish community.

"The young men doused him with tear gas from two canisters and hid. The man suffered severe burns to his eyes and skin," the message on the community's Facebook page says (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).

Representatives of the community also clarified that the same group of young people had been spotted outside the synagogue the day before. Then they shouted anti-Semitic slogans and demonstrated Nazi greetings at the sight of the rabbi.

Later, on October 12, the community released a statement thanking people for their support after the incident. They also noted that the man who was attacked is safe, he received the necessary assistance. In addition, according to the Jewish community, Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Brodsky was informed about the incident.

"We are in close cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine that are dealing with this case," the message says.

The Ukrainian police, in turn, announced the start of an investigation into the incident. The issue of the legal qualification of the case is being resolved.

On October 2, a knife attack was reported on a synagogue in Manchester. It was clarified that the incident occurred in the Krampsall area. Then law enforcement agencies opened fire in the direction of the attacker. The Manchester Evening News reported that the attacker allegedly had some devices that could have caused the use of firearms by the police.

Subsequently, the death toll from the attack on the synagogue in Manchester increased to three. It was clarified that five people, including a synagogue guard, were injured. Sky News later reported that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had suspended his participation in a summit with EU representatives in Denmark due to a possible terrorist attack in Manchester.

In addition, Stephen Watson, Chief Constable of the Greater Manchester County Police, clarified that one of the victims of the attack on the synagogue could have been accidentally shot by law enforcement officers.
