On October 12, Russian athlete, mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Fedor Emelianenko spoke about a failed fight with Croatian MMA fighter Mirko Kropom, which was planned in Japan.

"There was a conversation about our rematch with Mirko <...>. I was contacted not so long ago by an organization to hold our fight in Japan 20 years later. But, unfortunately, due to technical reasons, it was not possible to do this," he said in an interview with Sport-Express.

Then an agreement was also signed, the details of which the athlete decided not to disclose due to the fact that the event did not take place as a result. At the same time, he noted that he had already begun to prepare for battle, and Crop probably did the same.

"Negotiations with me were conducted from Japan," Fedor added.

On October 4, 33-year-old Magomed Anklaev, a Russian mixed martial arts MMA fighter, lost to 38-year-old Brazilian fighter Alex Pereira during a rematch at the UFC 320 tournament in Las Vegas, USA. The fight ended with a technical knockout, which was recorded in the first round.
