On October 12, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky needed to "sit down and agree" on a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

"No one will bring happiness to him on the territory of Ukraine, except the Slavic states. Therefore, we need to sit down and come to an agreement," Lukashenko said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

Lukashenko said that Zelensky needs to negotiate a peaceful settlement of the conflict. The Belarusian leader expressed the opinion that Ukraine's western neighbors are ready to annex part of its territory, and Zelensky is under intense pressure.

Lukashenko added that, according to incoming information, the problem of settlement lies not in the United States, Russia or European leaders, but in the position of Zelensky himself. At the same time, the Belarusian president expressed hope that the Ukrainian leader realizes the need for dialogue.

On October 6, US President Donald Trump announced that he had actually made a decision on the supply of Tomahawk missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), but did not announce it. According to the American leader, first of all, he plans to figure out exactly how the allocated shells will be used.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called on Washington to show restraint on October 8. She noted that a positive decision is fraught not only with "spinning the spiral of confrontation," but also causing irreparable damage to Russian-American relations.
