The Kremlin expressed concern about the situation around Tomahawk missiles for Kiev.
On October 12, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the situation around the American Tomahawk ballistic missiles dangerous.
"The [missile] theme Tomahawk is of extreme concern to us, as President [of Russia Vladimir] Putin has already said. Putin. This weapon is special, it can be nuclear-free, it can be nuclear-powered. High range, serious weapons. But at the same time, it cannot change the situation on the fronts. But now is really a very dramatic moment in terms of the fact that tensions are escalating from all sides," he said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
On October 6, US President Donald Trump announced that he had actually made a decision on the supply of Tomahawk missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), but did not announce it. According to the American leader, first of all, he plans to figure out exactly how the allocated shells will be used.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called on Washington to show restraint on October 8. She noted that a positive decision is fraught not only with "spinning the spiral of confrontation," but also with causing irreparable damage to Russian-American relations.
