The Sigma Land shopping center in Donetsk was completely destroyed as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Footage from the scene on October 12 is published by Izvestia.

The building was hit by at least two aircraft—type heavy attack drones (UAVs) with striking elements - metal balls.

"This indicates that the enemy wanted to inflict as much damage as possible on the civilian population. There were people in the store at that moment," said Izvestia correspondent Evgeny Bykovsky.

At the moment, there is no information about the injured or dead. Investigators are recording the consequences of the shelling in the Budyonnovsky district of Donetsk. According to the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, the strike hit a peaceful neighborhood where there were no weapons or military equipment.

"The enemy has shelled a peaceful neighborhood that lacks weapons and military equipment. The target was a shopping mall where people bought groceries and basic necessities," the UK concluded.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces hit Sigma Land shopping center the day before. Later, Izvestia published footage of a fire in a shopping mall. The building was completely engulfed in flames.
