The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Minnesota Wild in the NHL

In the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match, which took place on October 12 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Minnesota Wild with a score of 7:4.

Columbus Russian striker Kirill Marchenko scored a hat-trick, scoring goals in the 21st, 39th and 44th minutes. Miles Wood, Zach Werenski, Adam Fantilli and Boone Jenner scored another goal each for the Blue Jackets. Kirill Kaprizov scored twice for Minnesota, and Matt Baldy and Ziv Buyum also scored goals.

Marchenko was named the star of the match, scoring his first hat trick of the 2025/26 season and the fourth of his NHL career. In addition, Dmitry Voronkov from Columbus scored two assists, and defender Ivan Provorov added one assist. Apart from two goals, Kaprizov scored one assist.

Earlier that day, the St. Louis Blues hockey Club defeated the Calgary Flames in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match. The match was held in Calgary on October 11 and ended with a score of 4:2. The winners scored goals from Jake Nabors, who scored doubles in the 33rd and 52nd minutes, Robert Thomas (35th) and Pius Zoeter (54th). Pavel Buchnevich, a Russian hockey player, helped Nabors score the first goal. Matt Coronato scored a double for the Calgary Flames, scoring in the 15th and 35th minutes.
