Less than 50% of Ukrainian refugees are ready to return home even in the most optimistic scenario. This was reported at the IFO Research Institute after a corresponding study.

It is specified that 2,543 Ukrainian refugees from 30 European countries took part in the survey.

"In the most optimistic scenario, the expected return rate is 47%, in the most pessimistic scenario it is only 3%," the study says.

At the same time, the "optimistic" scenario is Ukraine's return to the borders of 1991, the country's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) and the prospect of joining the European Union (EU).

On October 8, a message was posted on the official website of the Swiss Democratic Union of the Center (UDC) party demanding that the protective status of Ukrainian refugees be revoked. It was clarified that this statement was related to the catastrophic financial consequences of the temporary refugee protection policy for Switzerland.
