Russia is one of the main suppliers of products to the global market, and products from the Russian Federation are known and loved in 160 countries around the world. This was announced on October 12 by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his video message to agricultural and processing industry workers in honor of their professional holiday.

"Today, Russia not only confidently provides itself with food, but is also one of the main suppliers of food to the global market. Our high—quality products — grain, vegetable oils, fish, confectionery and other goods — are known and loved in more than 160 countries around the world," Putin said.

He added that the growth of production, exports and the renewal of capacities is the merit of workers in the agricultural and processing industries. The Russian President specified that the state would continue to create conditions for the further development of the agricultural sector, strengthening domestic developments and introducing digital technologies.

In addition, Putin added that today, agrotourism is gaining popularity among Russian citizens and foreign guests, which allows them to get to know more about the domestic traditions of baking bread, making sweets, dairy products and winemaking, while learning about the country's history.

Earlier, on October 8, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, at the ceremony of awarding state awards to workers of the agro-industrial complex (AIC) within the framework of the XXVII Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition Golden Autumn, stated that food security is one of the most important national goals of the Russian Federation.
