The State Duma supported the idea of a reconciliation procedure in case of divorce

In Russia, a reconciliation procedure before a divorce should be introduced on a mandatory basis, especially if there are children in the family. This was announced on October 12 by Tatyana Butskaya, deputy of the State Duma of the VIII convocation, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Family, Women and Children.

"I fully support the Ministry of Justice's idea that mediation should not just be a theoretically possible option in a divorce, it should be mandatory," she told TASS.
