Due to the restoration of sanctions against it, Tehran finds no reason to resume contacts with the countries of the so-called European trio — Germany, Great Britain and France — devoted to discussions on the Iranian nuclear dossier. This was announced on October 11 by the Foreign Minister of the Islamic State, Abbas Araqchi.

"Iran sees no reason for repeated negotiations with the three European states," he said on the air of the state television and radio company.

Araqchi noted that his country intends to build its relations with the listed states taking into account its national interests and sovereign policy.

According to him, this decision "definitively exposed" the West's policy of sabotaging the search for constructive solutions to the current situation.
