"Night wolves" closed the motorcycle season
In Moscow, despite the cold snap and not very comfortable weather for motorcyclists, a loud roar of engines can be heard: the legendary pack of "Night Wolves" swept through the streets. On October 11, Izvestia correspondent Artyom Yakovenko told how bikers closed the motorcycle season until spring.
The roar of the engine, the whistle of tires and the smell of burnt rubber are heard by all Muscovites. Motorcyclists say goodbye to the iron horses in the best traditions: thick smoke, field kitchen and loud music. It seems that hundreds of bikers came to the event, and these "wolves" are obviously not alone.
Bikes are available for every taste and color: from Soviet Ural trucks with strollers to legendary Harley Davidsons. Their passengers also attract attention. The Night Wolves motorcycle movement does not end in Russia — there are clubs in Serbia, Cuba and even in Latin America.
"Where we are, there is Russia. And what is Russia? This is the ark. That's why everyone clings to her. There are so many Europeans around us who have come here: all the Balkans are here, Czechs and Slovaks are here," said Alexander "Surgeon" Zaldastanov, president of the All—Russian Night Wolves motorcycle club.
Since wolves are known to feed on their feet, bikers do not stay at the base for long. Having quickly packed up, they are going on the road again. Even the traffic police inspectors don't stop them that day — they smile and wave after them.
Maxim Liksutov, Deputy mayor of the Moscow government for Transport and Industry, said on October 11 that more than 12,000 motorcyclists rode along Moscow's Garden Ring in honor of the closing of the 2025 motorcycle season. The 13th Moscow Motorcycle Festival was organized on Vorobyovy Gory for this occasion. The column of bikers was led by 26 motorcycle clubs.
