The media learned about Paramount's plans to close MTV channels in several European countries

The American company Paramount will close some of the MTV channels in Germany, Austria and the UK. This was reported on October 11 by the Broadband TV channel, referring to the operators of the television platforms of these states.

It is noted that the BBC Broadcasting Corporation was the first to announce the upcoming closures in the UK. According to her, channels such as MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV and MTV Live will cease broadcasting in the country at the end of this year. The company's flagship TV channel MTV HD will continue broadcasting in Britain.

In Germany, one of the operators has already notified B2B customers about the closure of MTV Live HD on its platform and throughout Germany. In addition, according to Broadband TV, this measure may affect Poland, Hungary, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

Earlier, on September 25, the Reuters news agency reported that the German company Bosch intends to cut a "five-digit number" of jobs. It is indicated that last month, Bosch CEO Stefan Hartung said that against the background of limited demand, the company would have to fight "for every cent."
