During a telephone conversation, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky discussed the possibility of Kiev receiving American Tomahawk cruise missiles. This was reported on October 11 by the Axios portal, citing sources.

According to sources, the conversation lasted about 30 minutes, but Trump did not make any final decision on the supply of missiles to Ukraine.

It is reported that Zelensky also congratulated the head of the White House on the successful conclusion of a deal on the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

The conversation between Zelensky and Trump was announced on the same day by the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Andrei Ermak. Later, Zelensky himself confirmed the conversation and said that he had discussed with Trump the strengthening of the Ukrainian air defense system.

Prior to this, it became known that Zelensky had requested Trump to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) not only with multi-purpose and high-precision Tomahawk missiles, but also with HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, as well as ATACMS ballistic missiles.
