On October 11, Dmitry Lysokobylko, a serviceman of the Ukrainian battalion of the Azov special forces unit (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation), thanked a soldier of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign Lipetsk for saving his life.

"I started shouting loudly, 'Guys, help, I want to give up. I'm unarmed, I'm alone, I want to surrender. Help me surrender, I'm wounded." <...> I thank the soldier of the Russian army Lipetsk," TASS quoted him as saying.

In addition, the prisoner of war expressed gratitude to another soldier of the Russian Armed Forces with the call sign Doc, as he provided the man with the necessary medical care on time. He also stressed that he was treated well in captivity.

"No one beat, insulted, or called names. They gave me water, food, rest, and gave me medicines and painkillers so that I could move on," Lysokobylko added.

Earlier, on September 29, the only surviving serviceman of the 81st separate airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was discovered by fighters of the Southern Group of Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near the city of Seversk, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The prisoner of war himself said that he refused to follow the orders of his command, barricading himself in a shelter he regularly fortified, created by him from bags of chalk.
