Vucic expressed disappointment at Russia's proposals on gas supplies to Serbia
On October 11, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed disappointment with Russia's position on his country's gas supply.
"We have been offered a contract for gas supplies until the New Year. This news is very disappointing for us," Vucic said in an interview with the Informer portal.
According to him, Serbia was supposed to sign a new long-term gas supply agreement back in May of this year.
Earlier, on October 9, Vucic said that Serbia had not yet concluded a new gas agreement with Russia. He stressed that gas supply is critically important for the production of electricity at gas-fired thermal power plants in Novi Sad and Pancevo, especially given the high costs of new technologies.
