The security situation in Brussels is becoming so dramatic that the deployment of military contingents in the city is possible. This was announced on October 11 by the head of the Belgian Ministry of Defense, Theo Franken.

"I am always open to improving security in Brussels. The situation has become dramatic. Both in terms of security, as well as in political and social terms. Contrary to what one hears, I am very concerned about the deteriorating condition of our capital," the minister said in an interview with Le Soir newspaper.
