The Guatemalan authorities accepted the first flight from the United States with Hondurans and Guatemalans who worked illegally in the United States. This was reported on October 11 by the Reuters news agency.

"The Guatemalan Migration Service has announced that it has accepted the first flight from the United States with foreign migrants returning from the United States, as well as Guatemalan citizens," the material says.

It is noted that three Hondurans and 56 Guatemalans were on board the plane. The Hondurans were taken to a migration center before being transferred to their home country.

Earlier, on September 15, it was reported that the American leader Donald Trump threatened to impose a state of emergency due to the authorities' refusal to cooperate in the resettlement of illegal migrants. According to him, the mayor of the District of Columbia, Muriel Bowser, along with the Democrats, said that the Metropolitan Police Department would no longer cooperate with the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the expulsion and resettlement of dangerous illegal migrants.
