A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces defeated formations of the mechanized, jaeger brigades and the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of Pisarevka, Novaya Sich, Mogritsa, Alekseevka and Varachino, Sumy region. In the Kharkiv direction, units of the motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the border guard detachment of the Border Service of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Volchansk and Dvurechansk of the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 165 soldiers, a tank, an armored combat vehicle and 13 vehicles. An ammunition depot and four material depots were destroyed.

"The units of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of two mechanized and assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Drobyshevo, Stavki, Novoselovka of the Donetsk People's Republic and Kupyansk of the Kharkiv region. The enemy's losses amounted to 210 military personnel, three armored combat vehicles, 24 vehicles, two artillery pieces, including one of Western manufacture, and ten electronic warfare stations. Four ammunition depots were destroyed," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The units of the "Southern" group of Forces have improved their tactical situation. Units of four mechanized, two airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a marine brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Dronovka, Ivanopolye, Yablonovka, Kramatorsk and Konstantinovka of the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy lost up to 170 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, 13 vehicles, an artillery piece, a counter-battery warfare station and an electronic warfare station. Three ammunition depots were destroyed.

The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front line. The manpower and equipment of the mechanized, four amphibious assault, airmobile, jaeger brigades, the special forces brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Vladimirovka, Novonikolayevka, Toretskoye, Dimitrov, Belitskoye, Rubezhnoye and Sergeyevka of the Donetsk People's Republic. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 525 soldiers, four armored combat vehicles, five vehicles and an artillery piece.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated transport and fuel and energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, weapons and military equipment storage sites, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts. In turn, air defense systems shot down 95 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 89,528 UAVs, 631 anti-aircraft missile systems, 25,460 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,598 multiple rocket launchers, 30,364 field artillery and mortars, 43,694 units of special military vehicles.
