Medvedev handed Kim Jong-un Kim Il-sung's archive letter to Stalin
During his trip to Pyongyang, Russian Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev handed over to DPRK Chairman Kim Jong Un an archived letter sent by former DPRK leader Kim Il Sung to USSR Generalissimo Joseph Stalin. Medvedev posted the relevant footage on October 11 in the MAX messenger.
Medvedev said that he had handed over archival materials reflecting the history of relations between the two countries.
"This is a letter from Comrade Kim Il Sung to Stalin," he said, showing one of the archival documents.
The video shows how the Russian delegation handed over about 10 documents to Kim Jong-un. One of them, as Medvedev specified, is dated 1956.
On October 8, Medvedev arrived in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea for the 80th anniversary of the country's Workers' Party. In his Telegram channel, he commented on the visit with the words: "Time is ticking. Friends together. The enemies are straining."
Later, on October 11, it was reported that Kim Jong-un stressed the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries.
