Trump called China's stance on rare earth exports "hostile"

On October 10, US President Donald Trump announced that China's position on limiting exports of rare earths was "hostile."

"Very strange things are happening in China! They are becoming extremely hostile and sending letters all over the world saying that they want to impose export controls on all types of products related to rare earths, and on almost everything they can imagine, even if it is not made in China," he wrote on Truth Social.

Trump also noted that the United States has already been approached by other "extremely outraged by this huge trade hostility" of the country. The American leader added that he also has "monopoly positions," but up to this point he had not dared to use them.

On October 9, Trump noted the importance of duties to strengthen the US position. According to the American leader, thanks to the tariffs imposed, he managed to save "millions of lives" of citizens.
