The Toncoin cryptocurrency has lost more than 40% of its value after US President Donald Trump announced the imposition of duties of 100% on goods from the People's Republic of China (PRC) in excess of all existing tariffs. This is evidenced by the auction data on October 11.

On the night of Friday (October 10) to Saturday (October 11), the price of Toncoin on Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange, fell to $1.2. As of 00:55 Moscow time, the value of the cryptocurrency was $1.59, which still reflected a decrease, but by 40.5%.

On the same day, Trump announced that from November 1, the United States would impose 100 percent duties on top of all existing tariffs on goods from the People's Republic of China (PRC), and also stated that from that moment export controls would be introduced on all critical Chinese software.

Later, he also added that the United States could limit the supply of not only software to China, but also many other goods.
