Lvova-Belova thanked Melania Trump for caring for children affected by the conflict
On October 10, Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova expressed gratitude to Melania, the wife of American leader Donald Trump, for her attention to children affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
"I would like to thank the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, for her attention and concern for the families and children affected by <...>..> the conflict in Ukraine," she said in a video attached to a corresponding post on the Telegram channel.
Lvova-Belova also expressed the hope that Melania Trump, who has joined the regular work of the Russian Federation to reunite children with their loved ones, will continue to participate in this mission.
On the same day, the First Lady of the United States announced that she had received a reply from Russian President Vladimir Putin to an earlier letter. According to her, the Russian president, with whom she has established an "open channel of communication," in his message indicated readiness for a direct dialogue about children affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and Economic cooperation with Foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), said on the same day that Melania Trump had helped the Russian girl return from Ukraine to her homeland, where she was able to reunite with her family.
