Russian military personnel of the North group of forces destroyed a group of foreign mercenaries from the United States, Poland and Colombia in the Kharkiv region. This was reported on October 10 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"Today, in the area of Otradnoye, fighters of the Sever group, during an inspection of enemy positions, found the bodies of three mercenaries of the foreign Legion of the Military Forces of Ukraine (AFU) killed by soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces," a representative of the structures said in a conversation with TASS.

It is specified that the military also found documents for William Francis McGrath (USA), Wilfredo Martinez Almeida (Colombia), Grzegorz Rafal Wasilewski (Poland).

Against the background of an acute shortage of personnel, Kiev is increasingly attracting "volunteers" from abroad.

Earlier, on October 9, Russian servicemen of the Vostok group of forces, who took part in the liberation of the village of Novovasilyevskoye in the Zaporizhia region, encountered British mercenaries who tried to put up desperate resistance to them. It was clarified that the mercenaries were identified by the appropriate patches, documents found, and uniforms that differ from those worn by the militants provided by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
