The Netherlands will allocate €200 million to Ukraine for anti-UAV systems
The Netherlands will allocate €200 million to Ukraine for anti-unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) systems. This was announced on October 10 by the country's Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans after a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
"I am also announcing the allocation of €200 million for anti—drone systems," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
In addition, he added that the states have also concluded an agreement on the joint production of military equipment.
On August 4, Brekelmans announced that the Netherlands would be the first NATO country to supply 500 million euros worth of U.S.-made weapons to Ukraine as part of the new initiative. It is noted that spare parts and missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) will be supplied to Kiev.
