The representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Artem Korenyako, did not confirm the information about the opening of Platov airport in Rostov-on-Don. He informed Izvestia about this on October 10

"The press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency does not confirm the information about the opening of the Rostov-on-Don (Platov) airport," Korenyako said.

It is clarified that for flight safety reasons, the airport remains closed at the moment.

Following a meeting of the operational staff at the Ministry of Transport on February 24, 2022, Rosaviation clarified the list of airports whose operation was temporarily suspended due to the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine. Airports in Gelendzhik, Simferopol, Elista, Anapa (Vityazevo), Krasnodar (Pashkovsky), Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk (Vostochny), Lipetsk, Voronezh (Chertovitskoye) and Rostov-on-Don (Platov) were temporarily closed.
