The Russian national football team defeated the Iranian national team in a friendly match. The match, which ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the Russian team, was held at the Volgograd Arena on October 10.

The goals for the Russian team were scored by 27-year-old striker Dmitry Vorobyov (22nd minute) and 20-year-old attacking midfielder Alexey Batrakov (70th minute). 24-year-old striker Amirhossein Hosseinzadeh scored for the Iranian team in the 48th minute.
