- A criminal case was opened after the deaths of two people in an explosion near Volgograd.
A criminal case was opened after an explosion in the garage of a private house in Volgograd, in which two people were killed and one was injured. This was announced on the evening of October 10 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.
"A criminal case has been opened into the death of two people in the Leninsky district <...> on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two persons")," the agency said in a statement on the Telegram channel.
It is specified that the explosion, according to preliminary data, occurred due to the detonation of an ammunition, probably discovered during illegal search operations, which the victims dismantled for the purpose of subsequent delivery to the scrap metal collection point. Currently, as emphasized, representatives of the investigative task force, which includes forensic investigators from the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, are involved at the scene of the incident.
