Lightning struck Adler with a force of 376 kA
Lightning with a force of 376 kA struck over the Adler Mountains. This was announced on October 10 by Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center.
"Near Adler, a lightning discharge with a current of 376 kiloamps was recorded over the mountains at 01:35 Moscow time, which could be interpreted as the operation of an air defense facility...> As a rule, the current of lightning is 20-30 kiloamps," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
He noted that there was also a series of lightning, the current strength of which was more than 100-200 kA.
Earlier, on August 11, in Dagestan, a lightning strike in Kaspiysk damaged the power supply to a pumping station providing water to Izberbash, leaving the city without water. As a result of the accident, the station was completely de-energized, and the water supply to Izberbash was suspended.
