The Russian national football team announced the squad for the friendly match with the Iranian team, which will be held at the Volgograd Arena. Information about this appeared on October 10 on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

The starting line-up of the Russian national team for the match against Iran consists of goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, defenders Ilya Vakhaniya, Viktor Melekhin, Maxim Osipenko, Alexander Silyanov, midfielders Alexei Batrakov, Danil Glebov, Anton Miranchuk, Maxim Glushenkov, Zelimkhan Bakayev, and forward Dmitry Vorobyov.

Nikola Dabanovic from Montenegro was appointed the main referee of the match. The match starts at 20:00 Moscow time.

Earlier, on October 7, it became known that football players Daniil Fomin, Ruslan Litvinov and Tamerlan Musaev will miss the matches of the Russian national football team against Iran and Bolivia in October. It was noted that Fomin, due to an overload condition, was sent to the club for treatment after being examined at the medical headquarters. Litvinov and Musaev were also sent for treatment due to injuries sustained during the matches.
