US President Donald Trump said that his planned meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit "doesn't seem to make sense anymore."

Earlier, on October 1, Trump said that in about a month he would have a meeting with the leader of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Xi Jinping. The politicians intend to make a decision on the ongoing negotiations on a trade deal between the two countries.
