Linking the Nobel Peace Prize with arms supplies is ridiculous and speaks volumes about the level of the Ukrainian authorities. This was stated on October 10 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a press conference following his visit to Tajikistan.

"I think that the opinion of the head of the current Kiev regime was hardly of interest to the Nobel Committee when making the decision," Putin said, commenting on the Ukrainian president's statement about Tomahawk missiles.

The Russian President also noted that such statements are ridiculous and they reflect the current level of the Kiev regime.

Earlier in the day, Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov reacted sharply to a statement by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky about his support for US President Donald Trump's candidacy for the Nobel Peace Prize in the event of the supply of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. He also stressed that such statements clearly demonstrate the essence of the President of Ukraine.
