For the first time in history, scientists in Finland have managed to capture an image of two black holes orbiting each other, the Finnish University of Turku reported on October 10.

It is noted that the observation was captured by an international group of researchers studying the quasar OJ 287.

"This observation has confirmed the existence of pairs of black holes. Previously, astronomers were able to obtain images of only individual black holes," the university said.
