Experts have calculated the cost of owning a Lada Vesta in a taxi
The annual operation of a Lada Vesta car in a taxi will cost 1.33 million rubles, and a three—year operation will cost 3.98 million rubles. This was reported on October 10 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to a study by the marketing agency NAPI.
According to analysts, 1 km of travel costs 11.09 rubles. Fuel costs for this period amount to 1.8 million rubles, and 61 thousand rubles for tires.
It was based on the Lada Vesta sedan in the Comfort’24 configuration with an automatic transmission and a 1.6-liter 106 hp engine, which costs 1.55 million rubles new. For cost analysis, a legal entity was selected that uses a car as a taxi in Moscow with an average annual mileage of 120 thousand km.
The car was leased financially for three years at 26% per annum. During this period, Triangle brand all-season tires were used, the owner changed twice. Depreciation and insurance costs are included in the calculation of the cost of operation. After three years of operation in a taxi, the residual value of Lada Vesta is 1.19 million rubles.
Lada cars have been included in the primary list of cars of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation that meet the requirements of the law on taxi localization, which will be operational from March 2026. The list includes seven models of the brand — Granta, Iskra and Vesta, as well as the long sedan Aura, Largus and SUVs Niva Legend and Niva Travel.
On October 2, AvtoVAZ indicated its readiness to provide taxi companies with Lada cars. He stated that the company's production plan for 2026 and subsequent years can be adjusted to any volume required by the taxi industry, up to an additional 100-200 thousand vehicles.
Prior to that, on September 25, AvtoVAZ announced that taxi industry participants receive a number of advantages from purchasing Lada cars instead of foreign cars.
