On Friday and weekends (October 10-12), the State Traffic Inspectorate will conduct massive and continuous checks of drivers, special attention will be paid to the search for drunk motorists. The upcoming raids were announced by the regional departments of the department.

Traffic police will carry out preventive measures on the roads of the Ulyanovsk, Ivanovo, Kirov, Penza, Magadan regions, the Komi Republic and other regions of the country.

"Driving while intoxicated is unacceptable: This endangers the life and health of both the drunk driver and his passengers, as well as other road users. We strongly ask citizens who have witnessed a drunk driving a car or motorcycle, behaving inappropriately, creating dangerous situations on the road, to report this to the police," said Police Colonel Anton Belan, Deputy head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of Child traffic Injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
