Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the title Hero of Labor to Nikita Simonyan, the best scorer in the history of Spartak Moscow. This is stated on October 10 in the decree of the head of state on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The 98-year-old coach and football player was awarded the title for special services to the state, as well as for his great contribution to the development and popularization of domestic football.
