- The Ministry of Finance reported that there are no plans to change the personal income tax scale.
The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation has no plans to change the scale of taxes on personal income (personal income tax), it is not planned to change, it would be redundant. This was announced on October 10 by First Deputy Finance Minister Irina Okladnikova at the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy.
"Last year, we gratefully took into account the proposals of the party [regarding personal income tax], and indeed made a differentiated scale. These additional incomes have already been taken into account in the basic ones, so no additional changes are envisaged," Okladnikova said during the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy.
She added that any adjustments would be redundant, as otherwise there would be too much differentiation, and the effect would be exactly the opposite.
Prior to that, on September 29, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation proposed in a new draft law to limit foreign agents in tax preferences and set a single personal income tax rate of 30% for them. It is specified that they will also be unable to receive tax deductions for long-term investments, for example, for investments. As well as exemption from taxation of income from the sale of assets, income from donation and inheritance.
