In 10 years, the number of motorcycle accidents in Moscow has decreased by 15%. The Metropolitan Department of Transport announced this on October 10 in its Telegram channel. The main cause of such accidents is traffic violations.
In 2025, the most frequent accidents occurred due to non-compliance with the order of travel (217 cases), violations of the rules of lane change (188 cases) and speeding (157 cases). The top five traffic violations that caused motorcycle accidents also included non-compliance with the distance (88 times) and running a red light (40 times).
Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport, advised motorcyclists not to travel with the onset of cold weather and to prepare the motorcycle for the winter period in order to ensure its safety until the next season.
