Sobyanin spoke about the creation of a park on the site of an outdated monorail

In 2027, a year-round walking park will appear in Moscow on the site of the outdated monorail, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the MACH messenger.

According to him, it will be a unique park for Russia — it will be located at a height of six meters. It will be a modern, comfortable space for sports, family vacations and meetings with friends, Sobyanin stressed.

Thanks to the creation of the new site, the parks of VDNKh, Ostankino, the Botanical Garden and Timiryazevsky Park will be combined into one route. "The territory will connect five districts — Ostankinsky, Alekseevsky, Timiryazevsky, Marfino and Butyrsky, where more than 300 thousand people live," said the mayor of Moscow.

The park's area will be 40 thousand square meters. m. More than 70% of the participants of the Active Citizen project voted for its creation on the site of the monorail.

The Moscow monorail was built more than 20 years ago. In recent years, it has lost its transport function and operated in an excursion mode.
