The White House accused the Nobel Committee of politicization
The Nobel Committee has shown that politics is more important to it than peace. This was announced on October 10 by White House Communications Director Stephen Chung on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
"The President [of the United States Donald] Trump will continue to make peace agreements, end wars, and save lives. <...> The Nobel Committee has proven that it puts politics above peace," Chung wrote.
He added that the American leader has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone who "could move mountains with willpower alone."
The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded on October 10 to Venezuelan politician Maria Corina Machado for fighting for the democratic rights of the Venezuelan people and striving for a peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.
