The court nationalized the assets of billionaires Artyom Bikov and Alexei Bobrov
The Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg has satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office on the conversion of assets of the energy company Oblkommunenergo into state revenue. This was reported on October 10 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
The lawsuit was filed on September 15. The Prosecutor General's Office demanded that shares of JSC Oblkommunenergo (75%) owned by JSC Suenco, as well as shares and stakes in 80 more companies, be converted into Russian income. The beneficiaries of the energy company are Artem Bikov and Alexey Bobrov, who live in Austria.
According to media reports, the defendants were former ministers of the Sverdlovsk region for state property Alexei Pyankov (in 2012-2016) and energy and housing and communal Services Nikolai Smirnov (in 2011-2025). According to the prosecutor's office, they helped Bikov and Bobrov gain control of the former state-owned enterprise Oblkommunenergo.
In addition, Oleg Chemezov, Vice Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, was questioned as a suspect in the criminal case. According to preliminary information, he could ensure the coordination of bonded tariffs for utilities provided by Bikov and Bobrov's companies.
On September 15, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit with the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg on the appeal to the income of the Russian Federation of Oblkommunenergo, owned by Suenco JSC, as well as shares and stakes in 80 more companies.
On September 23, as a result of searches in Moscow at the addresses of the beneficiaries of Oblkommunenergo, the owner of the Bobrov company was detained. Law enforcement officers transported him to Yekaterinburg, where he was arrested under Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. Tatiana Chernykh, an associate of the energy oligarchs, was detained on a similar basis.
On September 30, the court detained Chemezov in a fraud case. On September 25, the head of the Sverdlovsk Region, Denis Pasler, dismissed Chemezov from the post of vice-governor of the region.
