The expert spoke about the dangers of financial pyramids on the Web
Fraudsters lure Russians into financial pyramids under the guise of lotteries and "unique" offers. Anton Tereshonkov, Director of Cyberdome security, told Izvestia about this.
"The user receives an offer that is difficult to refuse. This can be participation in a lottery or access to training at a low price, so affordable that a person decides to take a risk. Of course, this ends with an irretrievable loss of money," Tereshonkov explained.
After that, a person may be asked to involve other people in the scheme, promising to share the funds among themselves. Attracted users transfer money to the scammers' account, and when the time comes for payments, the person's account is added to the blacklist.
In order not to become a victim, the expert advised following the three-no rule: do not believe in easy income without effort, do not participate in schemes that depend on attracting others, and do not pay for access to "closed" platforms.
"The real ways of earning money are not advertised on the Internet to avoid competition," concluded the Cyberdome's director of security.
