The II International Symposium "Creating the Future" has ended at the National Center "Russia". It brought together more than 7,000 participants from 86 countries, including the SCO, BRICS, Europe, the United States, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa. More than 50.8 million people watched the online broadcast of the events. The event was attended by representatives of all subjects of the Russian Federation. The main results of the work were the preparation of applied scenarios for the development of the future and their visualization. Realizing its responsibility for the fate of the world, Russia initiated the development of scenarios that stimulate a global transformational shift. This is necessary for sustainable development in various fields: economic, technological, environmental, and social.

At the opening ceremony, Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Rossiya National Center, read out the greeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the participants of the Symposium. The Head of State stressed that the future must be built on the basis of a sovereign worldview and a tireless, bold, innovative search based on the achievements of our ancestors, historical, spiritual, and patriotic traditions.

Maxim Oreshkin also announced that the Symposium has become part of the global ecosystem of "Open Dialogue". The importance of this decision was noted by Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National Center for Russia, summing up the results of the event.

The program of the II International Symposium "Creating the Future" included an expert part and, for the first time, an open educational program for everyone. The program included about 50 events: panel discussions, lectures, a scenario workshop, a strategic session, a design laboratory, master classes, debates with audience voting and much more.

The rich expert program included three tracks - "Society", "Technology" and "Global Cooperation". Among the key events is the scenario workshop "Scenarios of the Future: at the intersection of science and creativity". Its participants – science fiction writers, futurologists, researchers and representatives of the creative industries have created a bank of ideas with scenarios for the future. In general, based on the results of the expert program, about 100 forecasts and applied scenarios for the development of the future were prepared, some of which were accompanied by visualization.

The track "Society" has become one of the most ambitious. Experts discussed social forecasting and design, social models of the future, and trust as a key resource for social development. As a result of the discussions, a package of best practices for social design was formed, and optimal scenarios for the development of society were selected.

Within the framework of the Technology track, the transfer of scientific developments to the real sector of the economy, artificial intelligence as a new "language of reality", scenario planning in technologically significant industries were discussed. Physicists, mathematicians, and engineers predicted the creation of a new generation of sensors, biomedical devices, and computing devices on the threshold of the second quantum revolution. Scientists, doctors, bioengineers and artificial intelligence developers have assessed the prospects of future biotechnologies, which are already rapidly changing medicine. We talked a lot about space exploration and the tasks that Russia sets for itself in this area.

The track "Global Cooperation" was about changes in international relations. Representatives of several industries have developed plans for cooperation between Russia and the Global South in agriculture, nuclear energy, space, and creative industries. The experts also formulated a joint vision of partnership between Russia and African countries by 2063.

More than 260 experts from various fields participated in the expert program: statesmen, business leaders, scientists and engineers, futurologists and forecasters, public figures, representatives of culture and media, and young professionals.

Both days it was crowded in the interactive robotics exhibition, where the guests were greeted by a robot hostess, a robot artist and a humanoid robot Ardi, tricks were shown by robo-dogs and a robo-cat. There you could play drone basketball and drone soccer. In the food aisle area, you can get treats from an ice cream robot, a barista robot, and robo-waiters.
